THURSDAY THOUGHTS- OPTIMIST FOR A DAY?

OPTIMIST FOR A DAY? I was talking to a friend of mine Olga the other day. She is 64 years old and just had a diagnosis of very serious stage 4 cancer but she was glowing. Two of her beloved cats also  died in the course of a two week period. ‘So much shit on her plate!’ I thought and she is still SUCH an optimist! How do some people even in the face of awful experiences seem to have that optimistic (It’ll all be fine) glow about them?. I was interested in how she got to be that way so I asked her. She said ‘I just feel deep down  that everything will work out in the end and I have a lot of faith in a Higher Presence”. It gave me the power to keep writing my first Memoir. It has been a daunting journey already (only starting to seriously write four months ago) but I have learned so much. I especially loved the parts in this book about how writing is healing. There were so many studies backing this up in the book.I am definitely motivated and inspired again  to get back in the saddle of my Memoir but I am also very glad I took a break too (to do an art festival and now having to prep more art for a string of upcoming summer art shows). I discovered that I have written almost 40,000 words towards…
